The Real Meaning Behind the Phrase ‘Six-Seven’ Explained

Every generation creates its own humor, often leaving older generations scratching their heads. One phrase causing confusion lately is “six-seven” or “6-7,” especially popular on social media platforms like TikTok. So what does it mean? The answer is simple: nothing at all. That’s part of its charm for Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

The trend exploded after hip-hop artist Skrilla released the song Doot Doot in December 2024, rapping, “6-7, I just bipped right on the highway (bip, bip).” Since then, over a million TikTok videos feature the phrase, used as a response to everything from “what’s that smell?” to “what time is it?”
