‘Thank you, Mom & Dad!’ Adopted Girl Tears Up Seeing Her Bed After Being Homeless for Years – Story of the Day

Veronica and Joseph discovered a young girl abandoned under a park bridge and welcomed her into their lives with open arms, despite her silence. One evening, she surprised them by speaking her first words, “Thank you, Mom & Dad,” a moment that brought tears and joy.

The couple, having lost their own child to cancer, found solace in nature walks together. One day in the park, they encountered the girl, dirty and alone. Moved by compassion, they offered her food and a warm bed, eventually deciding to foster and later adopt her when her family couldn’t be found.

Despite their love and care, the girl, named Milly but preferring to be called Sky, remained mute. Concerned, Veronica and Joseph sought medical help and provided her a princess-themed room to make her feel at home. It was only when they called her “Sky” that she spoke, revealing her connection to the day they met under the pink sky.

Through love and patience, Veronica and Joseph healed Sky’s deep wounds, showing that family transcends biology and that love can indeed perform miracles.
