She was married to Burt Reynolds, won three Golden Globe Awards and two Emmy Award nominations. It’s fair to say at one point in time, men wanted her and women wanted to be there.

Loni Anderson became a TV star in the late 70s as Jennifer Marlowe on “WKRP in Cincinnati,” earning three Grammy awards for her role. “I think women loved the fact I was sexy and smart,” she said. The show, which ran from 1978 to 1982, followed staff at a fictional Ohio radio station.

Born in Minnesota, Anderson debuted in 1966 alongside Steve McQueen in “Nevada Smith.” She appeared on various TV shows and became a popular poster star, which helped her land the role on WKRP. Producer Hugh Wilson praised her, saying, “She had such a definite look.”

Anderson’s personal life included a high-profile marriage and divorce with actor Burt Reynolds, with whom she adopted a son, Quinton. Their contentious split involved allegations of infidelity and custody battles. Despite the acrimony, Anderson paid tribute to Reynolds after his death in 2018.

Now 77, Anderson stays youthful through a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise. Aiming to change the stereotype of grandmas, she says, “We’re different from that stereotype.” Married to Bob Flick since 2008, Anderson radiates happiness and positivity, supported by her family, including her daughter Deidra, who has multiple sclerosis.
