Retired ‘Today’ Host Kathie Lee Gifford, 70, Hospitalized: Details & Photo

Kathie Lee Gifford, 70, has faced a challenging two months. After a hip replacement, she experienced a serious fall at home, fracturing her pelvis in two places. “The pain was worse than the hip surgery,” she shared. The accident occurred after she overexerted herself moving books at a Nashville signing event. Rushing to greet a friend, she tripped and fell, resulting in her hospitalization.

Gifford has described this period as “humbling,” reflecting on how it forced her to slow down and appreciate her accomplishments. She expressed disappointment at missing summer activities but saw it as a message to enjoy her legacy.

Support from fans has been overwhelming, with many sending messages of encouragement. Despite the physical and emotional toll, Gifford remains focused on her work, celebrating the release of her book “Herod and Mary.” She continues to embrace aging positively, dismissing critics and valuing her personal growth and the joy of life.
