Police Pull Over Boy of 12 Driving Car, ‘I’m Driving My Unconscious Mom to the Hospital!’ Boy Says — Story of the Day

A police officer was stunned when he spotted a 12-year-old boy, Jimmy, driving a car alone. The boy had taken the wheel after his mother, Macy, lost consciousness on a remote Nevada road.

Macy, a single mother, had been driving with Jimmy when she suddenly felt ill and fainted. Jimmy, panicked and without a license, decided to drive to the nearest hospital to save her. As he drove, a patrol car pulled him over. “You’re definitely too young to drive. What’s happening here?” asked Officer Winston. Jimmy explained, “I’m driving my unconscious mom to the hospital. She collapsed, and I was scared she wouldn’t make it.”

Officer Winston, seeing Macy in critical condition, insisted on driving them to the hospital despite his partner’s objections. “We’re talking about a LIFE here!” Officer Winston said, prioritizing Macy’s urgent need over protocol.

Macy was treated in time, recovering fully. Grateful, she praised Officer Winston, who was later promoted for his bravery.
