Newt Gingrich Warns of ‘Very Dangerous’ Rhetoric as Political Tensions Escalate

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich warned that growing hostility from Democratic leaders toward President Trump threatens national unity. In a Fox News interview, he accused Hakeem Jeffries and other Democrats of using inflammatory rhetoric that erodes trust in government.

Comparing today’s tensions to a constitutional “stress test,” Gingrich urged restraint and respect for the rule of law. He criticized House Democrats for disengagement during a recent joint session, calling it proof of weak leadership. Citing polling that 82% of Americans believe the system is corrupt, he said reform—not division—must guide both parties. Defending figures like Elon Musk, Gingrich argued that attacks on Trump allies show resistance to change. He predicted voter frustration will shape the 2026 midterms.
