Boiled Eggs vs. Fried Eggs: Which Is Better for Breakfast?

Eggs are a breakfast staple worldwide, but is it healthier to eat them boiled or fried?

Boiled eggs are among the healthiest options. With about 70 calories and 6 grams of protein, they are low in fat and ideal for weight control. Boiling preserves nutrients like vitamin B12, vitamin D, and choline, while also providing antioxidants for eye health. They’re portable, easy to prepare in advance, and great for busy mornings.

Fried eggs, on the other hand, offer rich flavor and soft texture. Cooked in small amounts of healthy oils, they remain nutritious, though slightly higher in calories (90–100). Excess butter or unhealthy fats, however, may affect heart health.

Your choice depends on goals—boiled eggs for lean nutrition, fried eggs for taste and variety.
