President Donald Trump criticized former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney after she received a last-minute pardon from President Joe Biden.

While discussing pardons for those involved in the January 6 Capitol attack, Trump slammed Cheney, calling her a “disaster” and a “crying lunatic.” He questioned why Biden would pardon her and others connected to the January 6th committee.

Republicans argued that the pardons were an admission of guilt, with Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) calling it part of Biden’s legacy of corruption. Biden’s pardons, issued just before leaving office, also included General Mark Milley and Dr. Anthony Fauci. Biden defended his actions, stating these individuals faced unjustified threats and political prosecutions, emphasizing his belief in the rule of law.
