My Mom Kept Urging Me to Split Up with My ‘Lazy’ Husband — Until I Caught Them Mid-PDA in a Cafe One Day

Jess thought her mother, Mona, wanted to spend quality time with her and her kids during the summer holidays. However, Mona had ulterior motives—she aimed to convince Jess to divorce her husband, Matt, whom Mona criticized relentlessly. Unbeknownst to Jess, Mona and Matt were having an affair.

During a lunch outing with her friend Sim, Jess accidentally discovered Matt and Mona holding hands in a café. Shocked, she took a photo of the scene and decided to confront them later. At home, Jess confronted Matt and Mona with the incriminating photo, leading Matt to confess the affair, claiming it was true love. Surprisingly, Mona supported Matt’s sentiment.

Jess, determined to take control of her life, pretended to consider dating a coworker to mislead her deceitful mother and unfaithful husband. Subsequently, she left home with her daughters and sought refuge at Sim’s place.

Sim encouraged Jess to initiate a divorce and advised her to take everything from Matt. Jess contemplated sharing the photo of the affair with her family, exposing the betrayal.

The story captures Jess’s emotional turmoil, deception by her mother, and her resolve to end the marriage with Sim’s support, highlighting themes of family betrayal and the strength to move forward.
