Michael J. Fox makes heart-wrenching new statement after 30-year battle with Parkinson’s

Michael J. Fox, renowned for his Parkinson’s disease battle, has been an enduring symbol of resilience. Since his diagnosis in the early 1990s, he dedicated himself to raising awareness and supporting research.

Recently, the actor openly discussed the worsening condition, acknowledging his deteriorating health and the unlikelihood of reaching 80 years old. In a candid interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Fox expressed, “It’s getting tougher. Every day it’s tougher.”

He also revealed a recent spinal surgery due to a benign tumor, which affected his mobility and caused falls, resulting in various injuries. Fox firmly stated, “You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s. I’m not gonna be 80.”

Fox’s ongoing battle with Parkinson’s is highlighted in his upcoming documentary, “Still,” where he describes the intense pain and seismic tremors that plague him.

Despite the challenges, Fox remains determined and optimistic, declaring, “I’m not going anywhere.” He retired in 2021 but emphasized that there’s more to celebrate than to mourn in his life, demonstrating his unwavering spirit.
