Man Had His Name On His License Plate For 25 Years But Now People Are Saying It’s Offensive

The long-standing dispute over Lorne Grabher’s personalized license plate bearing his family name has taken a new turn as the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia awarded him $750 in court costs. The license plate was revoked in 2016 based on a report suggesting it supported sexual violence against women, but Grabher’s lawyer argued against its connection to derogatory comments made by President Donald Trump.

Grabher’s lawyer strongly opposed the Crown report’s assertion that the license plate was linked to Trump’s comments about women, stating that it was merely a name and not a reference to Trump.
