Am I Wrong for Telling My Husband’s Ex That I Must Have Been His Favorite Girlfriend Since He Married Me?

Phoebe thought she and Caleb had finally found their happily ever after. But one night at a bar, a casual comment from Patty, Caleb’s ex, triggered an unexpected reaction. Patty, who was on good terms with Caleb, had stopped by to say hello. During a conversation about old times, Patty remarked, “Well, at least I will always be your favorite girlfriend.”

Phoebe, feeling a pang of discomfort, replied, “Wouldn’t I be your favorite since I’m the one you married?” Patty’s smile faltered, and she left abruptly.

Later, Caleb received a message from Patty accusing Phoebe of being insecure and petty. Phoebe, distressed, felt she hadn’t intended to hurt anyone. Caleb reassured her, emphasizing Patty’s issues were not her fault. They decided to meet Patty to clear the air. At the café, Patty admitted her struggles with moving on, and they agreed to take things one step at a time.
