My Wife Gave Me a List of Demands in Exchange for Her Future Pregnancy – I Gave Her a Reality Check

When my wife handed me a list of demands for getting pregnant, including a pricey car and a tattoo, I was floored. It felt like she was reducing a life-changing event to a mere transaction. To address this, I arranged a meeting with a lawyer, turning her demands into a reality check.

We’ve been together for eight years and married for one. She’s focused on her career, and I fully support her. Recently, baby talk had become more frequent, fueled by her mom’s nudges about her “biological clock.”

One Saturday, while enjoying breakfast, she casually handed me a list. Top of the list: an expensive car. I couldn’t believe it. “Pregnancy will change my body forever,” she said. I realized she was serious and struggling with fear and uncertainty.

We needed to talk. The next day, I set up a meeting with a lawyer to show her the realities of parenthood. This turned into a deeper conversation about our future and responsibilities. We ultimately decided to face this journey together, valuing love and mutual support over material demands.
