I Went on a Date with My Brother’s Friend – Turned out It Was a Trap

My brother’s latest setup led to a disastrous date with his friend, Stewart. We ended up stuck at a swanky restaurant with an unpaid bill. As tensions escalated and the manager threatened to call the police, I realized how far Adam had gone, leaving me to wonder how we’d escape.

“Jess, you gotta meet this guy,” Adam said, lounging on my couch. “Stewart. Works with me. Real stand-up guy.”

“Another one of your setups?” I sighed.

“No, seriously! You’ll like him.”

Despite my doubts, I agreed. Stewart picked me up in a shiny sedan, and we headed to a fancy downtown restaurant. The evening was perfect until the bill arrived and Stewart’s card was declined.

“Do you have any cash?” he asked, panic in his eyes.

“I can’t afford this place,” I replied.

As the manager approached, I texted Adam. He arrived, laughing, and paid the bill, revealing it was all a prank. Furious, I knew it was time to set boundaries with my brother.
