Dying woman has one last wish. Then carer takes something out of his pocket that shocks everyone

The prospect of death doesn’t scare me; I see it as a natural and beautiful part of life. However, the fear of growing old, losing independence, and relying on others for basic needs is daunting. Maria, a former singing and piano teacher spending her final days in an Ohio assisted living facility, grappled with this reality. Despite her impending departure, Maria missed the joy of being surrounded by music. Luckily, one of her former students, Joshua Woodard, worked at the facility.

Maria’s last wish was to hear the song “How Great Thou Art,” and Joshua, having known her since he was nine, eagerly fulfilled it. He delivered a touching performance of her favorite song, lyrics displayed on his phone. Maria’s sister-in-law captured the emotional moment on film, highlighting the compassion of hospice workers like Joshua. In the face of aging and mortality, Maria found solace in the harmonious connection with her former student.
