Tommy, born in 1958, faced challenges as an orphan with delayed development, yet found love and companionship with Maryanne.
Meeting in 1990 while working in a kitchen for disabled individuals, their shared interests in music, cooking, movies, and craftwork formed a strong connection. Despite societal disapproval and invasive questions about their relationship, they married in 1995, celebrating with 250 attendees. Their fairy-tale continued for almost 30 years until Tommy’s passing in 2021 due to Alzheimer’s and COVID.
