My gas used to run out far too quickly

Do you ever get the feeling that bottled gas or natural gas just doesn’t last the way it used to? One month you’re cooking as usual, and the next you’re already scheduling a refill or wondering why the meter seems to be spinning faster than ever. Many people immediately blame rising prices, poor-quality gas, or even faulty appliances. I used to think the same way. I complained, compared notes with neighbors, and assumed there was nothing I could really do about it. What I didn’t realize—and what most people don’t—is that excessive gas consumption often has nothing to do with the supplier or how often you cook. It can come down to something far simpler and far more overlooked: the condition of your burners. A licensed gas technician once explained this to me during a routine check, and at first I barely believed him. He told me that dirty, partially clogged burners can dramatically increase gas usage without any obvious warning signs. You don’t hear strange noises. You don’t smell leaks. You just quietly burn more gas than necessary every single day. Skeptical but curious, I followed his advice. The result shocked me. After applying this method, my gas didn’t just last a little longer—it lasted more than twice as long.
