Darren recently married into a wealthy family and felt increasingly uncomfortable. His father-in-law paid for the entire wedding, but during the honeymoon flight, Darren’s wife flew first class while he was booked in economy. When he expressed frustration, she replied, “Dad says he’s not your money machine.”
Feeling disrespected, Darren left the plane. Later, his father-in-law called, accusing him of being ungrateful and stating he’d continue supporting his daughter, but not Darren. Darren stood his ground and refused to rejoin the trip.
Now, he wonders: Was I wrong to react this way?
Signed, Darren
