A Dog in Need of a Loving Home

Meet Major, a 4-year-old terrier/pitbull mix who’s spent over 260 days in an Indiana shelter. Despite being described as “sweet and sensitive,” he’s continuously overlooked by adopters. Originally brought in as a stray last summer, his original owners never returned for him.

His shelter pals have given him endearing nicknames like “Major hunk” and “Major heartthrob.” Though Major loves to play and has a soft spot for his Jolly Ball, rejection has dimmed his spirits. To ease his stress, he’s been moved from kennels to a visiting room, but what he truly needs is a forever home.

While Major would thrive in a family without young children or cats, a meet-and-greet with other dogs is advised due to his strength. Despite not fitting every home, there’s undoubtedly a perfect match out there.

Let’s rally together to find Major a loving family. If you’re ready for a strong, playful companion, Major could be the one for you! Spread the word and consider adopting him from the Humane Society of Hamilton County. Together, we can brighten Major’s life. ❤️
