(VIDEO)Miss America Contestant Steps Onstage In Nursing Scrubs. But When She Looks Up? My Heart STOPPED!

Last week, Atlantic City hosted the second preliminary night of Miss America. With the exception of Kelley Johnson, almost every competitor entered the stage decked up in extravagant costumes to display their musical, dancing, and singing prowess.

Colorado Miss Kelly made the decision to give a one-of-a-kind monologue about her experience caring for an elderly patient with Alzheimer’s.

People were likely in disbelief when she appeared on stage wearing her nursing scrubs. But when she was done, the outcomes were heartwarming and completely astounding. In my opinion, Kelly has already won, regardless of whether she takes home the final trophies.

Kelly graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Grand View University. She is currently employed as a registered nurse and graduated as the valedictorian of her nursing class.
