Woman Leaves Newborn on Business Class Plane Seat, Decides to Find Him 13 Years Later — Story of the Day

Years ago, Rhonda Harris, faced with rejection from her wealthy father and an unsupportive boyfriend, found herself alone and pregnant. Disowned and heartbroken, she gave birth in a hospital with the help of a kind woman named Angela Bamford. Rhonda was given a fresh start with a business class ticket to New York. Overwhelmed and fearing she couldn’t provide for her baby, Rhonda made the painful decision to leave her newborn, Matthew, on the plane, hoping someone would offer him a better life.

Thirteen years later, after rebuilding her life, Rhonda sought out Matthew. To her dismay, he was adopted by Lincy, the flight attendant who had found him. Matthew was initially angry and rejected her, but after Rhonda explained her circumstances and the hardships she faced, he began to understand. Over time, Matthew forgave Rhonda, accepting her as his mother and recognizing the tough choices she had made.
