Woman Found a Colleague Crying in the Restroom During Her Promotion Party – Story of the Day

Tori’s promotion day was overshadowed by distressing events from the previous evening. At her party, her friend Becky found her crying alone in the bathroom. Tori had been staying late at work, hiding from a personal crisis. Becky had insisted on celebrating Tori’s achievement, dragging her to the party despite Tori’s reluctance.

The celebration was lively, but Tori’s discomfort grew as her boss, Sam, congratulated her. Later, she escaped to the restroom, phone in hand, pleading with her husband James, who had left her after discovering her infidelity. Tori’s affair with Sam was a desperate escape from the stress of her husband’s illness and mounting bills.

Becky found Tori in tears and learned about the affair and James’s ultimatum: choose between him or her job. Struggling, Tori prepared to resign but reconsidered when Sam offered support. Ultimately, Tori decided to stay at work, seeking financial aid for her husband and ending her relationship with Sam.
