The Morning That Changed Everything

Just moments earlier, I was ready to walk away from my marriage forever — convinced I never wanted to see him again. It started in the kitchen, where a small cake sat on the counter with a note: “To my incredible wife, who gives up sleep just for me. Please rest in today — I made breakfast for YOU. I love you.”

My heart melted. I felt cherished — until I saw another note, tucked beneath the first: “Can’t wait to see you again tonight. Breakfast was just an excuse to sneak in and leave you this. Don’t worry — she’ll never find out. ❤️ – S.”

In an instant, warmth turned cold. Betrayal shattered my world. What I needed now wasn’t breakfast — but a plan to heal and move on.
