The Hidden Note on My Receipt That Made a Difference

It started as an ordinary trip to the grocery store. After finishing my shopping, I accidentally left my receipt at the self-checkout machine.

A kind woman quickly noticed and ran over to return it. “You dropped this,” she said with a warm smile. I thanked her, thinking nothing of it, and went on my way.

When I got home and began unpacking my groceries, I noticed something unusual. Scrawled on the back of the receipt in hurried handwriting were the words: “Check your car trunk.” My heart raced as I froze for a moment, unsure of what to do. Grabbing my phone and a flashlight, I cautiously stepped outside and opened the trunk.
