Iconic “Starsky and Hutch” actor, David Soul, renowned for his role as Detective Kenneth Hutchinson, has died at the age of 80 on January 4, 2024. Soul, who starred opposite Paul Michael Glaser from 1975 to 1979, breathed his last at a London hospital following a prolonged battle with health issues.

Soul’s family, a crucial support system throughout his struggles, was by his side during his final moments, providing comfort and solace. His wife, Helen Snell, remembered him as a “beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother,” stating that his passing was the result of a “valiant battle for life.”

Despite facing serious illnesses, Soul found strength and gratitude in the love and support of his family, particularly crediting his wife, Helen. He acknowledged, “I am a fighter,” emphasizing that without her, he wouldn’t have made it through.

In his later years, Soul enjoyed a serene life in London with Helen, surrounded by their six children. Reflecting on his wealth, he found richness not in finances but in the presence of his family. Soul’s profound bond with Helen sustained him through his toughest times, and he often declared, “Helen is my life.”

Beyond his family, Soul was a fervent advocate for animal welfare, actively supporting causes like The Animals Voice in their fight against cruelty. His commitment reflected his concern for both his grandchildren’s futures and the environment.
