Son Kicks Out His Father Because He Refuses to Pay Rent to Stay In His House – Story of the Day

For years, I harbored a deep desire for revenge against my father for abandoning me when I needed him most. When life gave me the chance, I hesitated.

One day, my dad appeared at my door. I hadn’t seen him in ages. “Hi, son. I’m sorry to show up unannounced. I tried calling, but you didn’t answer,” he said.

“What do you want?” I asked.

“I need a place to stay,” he replied.

“You can stay, but you have to pay rent,” I demanded.

“I have no money,” he pleaded.

“You can live on the street. I wish God had taken you instead of mom!” I shouted.

After slamming the door, my wife pushed me to share my story. My father had forced me to pay rent after my mom’s death, and I felt betrayed. Julie suggested I forgive him, but I wasn’t ready.

A walk later, I found my father sleeping on a bench. “Dad, wake up!” I said. He confessed he wanted to motivate me to succeed. Finally understanding his intentions, I forgave him, and we reconciled.
