Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) expressed frustration over the Democratic Party’s lack of a coordinated response to President Donald Trump during an interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl.
Schiff criticized the failure to focus on the president’s lack of solutions for high costs facing American families.
Schiff addressed Sen. John Fetterman’s critique, calling the Democratic response a “sad cavalcade of self-owns.” He argued the party needs to stay focused on the economy, despite economic data contradicting his claims.
Schiff also disagreed with Democratic strategist James Carville’s suggestion to “play dead.” He emphasized the need for a bold agenda and effective communication. Other left-wing members, like Sen. Bernie Sanders, rejected Carville’s approach, advocating for more action from the party.
