My Wife’s Best Friend Mocked Her behind Her Back, So I Decided to Teach Her a Harsh Lesson

A friendly dinner with my wife’s best friend turned into a night that revealed who she really was. I overheard her saying some of the cruelest things about my wife, and you won’t believe the revenge I plotted. I had to show this woman she could never mess with the people I love.

I’m Jake. I’ve been with my wife Meg for over five years, and she’s the love of my life. We’ve been through a lot together, especially struggling with infertility. About a month ago, we had dinner with friends, including Meg’s best friend Bethany.

After leaving the restaurant, I realized I had forgotten my phone. Returning to retrieve it, I overheard Bethany saying, “Meg is so pathetic. Jake will come to me for a healthy child.” Shocked, I decided Bethany needed a wake-up call.

The next time we met, I was extra friendly to her, leading her to believe I was interested. Finally, during a private dinner, I revealed I had heard her cruel words and made it clear she would never see Meg again. The fallout was satisfying, and it strengthened my bond with Meg.
