My Husband’s Female Best Friend Insisted on Hosting My Baby Shower – I Gave Her a Reality Check

Ever since we announced my pregnancy, Avery, my husband’s female best friend, inundated us with unsolicited advice. Her insistence on hosting the baby shower was the last straw! I was tired of Avery’s controlling actions and devised a plan to teach her a lesson.

Avery and my husband Scott met at work; he’s a food safety auditor, and she’s a nutritionist. Initially, Avery and I got along well, bonding over music and our careers. However, once I announced my pregnancy, Avery’s overbearing nature emerged.

She constantly sent Scott advice on dietary changes and baby products. Despite my attempts to ignore her, her texts grew more frequent and critical. When she offered to host the baby shower, I politely declined, but she showed up with decorations and a detailed menu anyway.

Avery’s condescending attitude pushed me to my limit, and I decided to move forward with my own plans. The baby shower turned out to be a heartwarming event with my close friends and family, while Avery was left alone with her decorations.
