Tom handed me a small box with a big smile on his face. Inside, I found car keys to a practical, stylish car I had always wanted.

However, that night, Tom seemed distant. The next morning, he was gone, leaving only a note that said, “Sorry.” Desperate for answers, I called his mother, Jane, who revealed he had confessed to not truly loving me. This revelation, though painful, forced me to re-evaluate my life and ultimately led me to true happiness.
