Standing at the altar, Nathan eagerly anticipated seeing his fiancée, Jane, in the white gown they’d chosen together. Instead, Jane walked down the aisle in a long black dress, leaving Nathan horrified and confused.
“My wedding day was meant to be perfect,” Nathan reflected, “but it ended up being a nightmare.”
He and Jane had met through a mutual friend, and their bond quickly grew strong. Despite his introverted nature, Jane’s vibrant personality made him feel loved and valued. After proposing and receiving an enthusiastic yes, Nathan was convinced Jane was the one.
On their wedding day, Nathan stood in his tailored black suit, expecting to see Jane in her white dress. But her appearance in black, with a funeral-like veil, was shocking. Jane’s rage-filled eyes met his as she revealed that Nathan’s mother had accused him of cheating with his best friend, Lauren. She also accused Nathan of hiding his family’s financial ruin and marrying Jane for money.
Nathan’s pleas fell on deaf ears as Jane, unable to reconcile the betrayal, left him at the altar.
