My Fiancé Humiliated Me in His Wedding Vows — He Regretted It Later

As Emily walks down the aisle, she feels she is finally living her wedding dream. The dress is perfect, just like the venue, music, and her groom. But during the vows, Jason completely humiliates her in front of everyone. Later, he gets a taste of his own medicine.

The day had finally arrived. After months of planning, I was ready to walk down the aisle in my dream dress.

“How do you feel?” my father asked, kissing my forehead.

“Happy,” I replied. “I’ve dreamed of this moment for years, Dad.”

As we walked down the aisle, Jason took my hand, and the ceremony began.

“Jason, you are my best friend,” I said. “I promise to support you and cherish every moment we have together.”

Then, Jason turned to his groomsmen and smirked. “Emily, my love,” he began, “I promise to tolerate your nagging and burnt lasagna.”

Laughter erupted. I felt humiliated.

Later, at the reception, Jason’s father stood up. “Respect is key to a marriage,” he said. “Jason, it’s time to learn this lesson.”

Jason looked mortified as his father shared embarrassing stories about him. “Emily, I’m sorry,” Jason said. “I thought I was being funny.”

“Fine,” I replied. “But it’s going to take more than just words to fix this.”

What would you do?
