I Invited My Colleague to Secretly Introduce Her to My Single Grandson – My Heart Stopped as They Saw Each Other

Elsie just wants her grandson, Josh, to meet someone special. When a young new teacher, Allison, enrolls at her kindergarten, she thinks she has hit the jackpot. But when Josh meets Allison, Elsie learns they already have a connection.

“Josh, you need to get out more,” I said. “Don’t you want to meet someone?”

“I get it, Gran,” he replied, pausing his game. “But work takes up all my time.”

A few months ago, we welcomed a new teacher at the kindergarten, Allison. She was younger than Josh, and I loved having her around. So, I invited her over for dinner.

“Allison?” Josh’s voice came from the doorway that evening, filled with disbelief.

“Josh?” Allison answered, her eyes wide. “Mrs. Barnard, this is your grandson? Josh?”

“Wait, you two know each other?” I asked.

“Yeah, Gran,” Josh said. “Allison is my sister.”

I had hoped to bring love into Josh’s life, never imagining it would come as a long-lost sister.
