Fans Stunned after Realizing Homeless Man in These Pics Is Richard Gere: ‘I Wouldn’t Have Recognized Him’

Old photos of Richard Gere dressed as a homeless man are resurfacing and causing a stir among fans. The iconic actor, now 74, took on this role in the 2014 film Time Out of Mind, but at the time, many were unaware it was Gere under the costume. Roaming the streets of New York City for the film, Gere was unrecognizable and received little attention from passersby. In one memorable incident, a French tourist named Karine Gombeau, mistaking him for a real homeless man, offered him leftover pizza.

Gere, grateful but still in character, thanked her warmly. It wasn’t until later that Gombeau learned of the actor’s true identity through a news article, complete with a photo of her and Gere. Fans continue to be amazed by this story, impressed by Gere’s commitment to highlighting social issues through his performance.
