A Birthday Gift Gone Wrong

On my birthday, my husband gave me a bottle of shower gel.

Since we weren’t facing any financial difficulties, I felt deeply hurt, though I didn’t let it show. I had always ensured his business thrived and that we had enough money for him to at least buy me a bouquet of flowers.

When I examined the gel more closely, I realized it was a scent I absolutely disliked—something he knew very well. Overwhelmed with emotion, I ended up in tears and flushed it down the toilet.
