After Husband’s Death, Widow Finds His Unfinished Letter to Another Woman and Pays Her a Visit – Story of the Day

Meredith Arnold was going through her late husband’s belongings when she came across an unfinished letter addressed to an unknown woman. Thinking her husband was having an affair, she decided to confront the other woman but burst into tears when she discovered the truth.

Meredith stood teary-eyed before a newly dug grave. After everyone had left her husband’s funeral, she couldn’t take her eyes off the fresh mound of earth. “Oh, Justin, how happy we were. If only I could see you and hug you one more time.” She remembered meeting him at 16 and never parting after that.

Justin was a devoted husband, and despite not having children, they were happy until a tragic car accident took him away. While sorting through his study, Meredith found a crumpled letter to “Clara Bamford, 50 Oakland Ave, #206, Florida.” It mentioned a meeting with Clara and a little girl, Sophia. Heartbroken, Meredith flew to Florida to confront Clara, only to discover that Justin had been a father figure to Clara and helped her during difficult times.
