‘Thank you, Mom & Dad!’ Adopted Girl Tears Up Seeing Her Bed After Being Homeless for Years – Story of the Day

Veronica and Joseph adopted and adored the little girl they found abandoned under a park bridge, but she never spoke a word to them. However, one night, she walked into their bedroom and cried, “Thank you, Mom & Dad,” startling the couple.

The sky was a lovely pink as Veronica and Joseph strolled through the park. After losing their only child to cancer, nature brought them comfort. Approaching the bridge, Veronica rested her head on Joseph’s shoulder and asked, “Should we try for another child, honey?”

Joseph sighed, “We can, hun, but we need to be in the right mental space.”

As Veronica cried, remembering their son, she noticed a pair of eyes staring at them from under the bridge. They found a small girl in a dirty frock. Veronica gently asked, “What are you doing here by yourself?” The girl said nothing.

Joseph invited her to join them for food, and she hesitantly agreed. Veronica and Joseph brought her home, reported her to the authorities, and eventually adopted her. Although she didn’t speak, their love and care helped her heal. One night, she finally spoke, expressing her gratitude and love, calling herself “Sky.”
