My Greedy Mother-in-Law Ate My Dinner & Made a Facebook Post Instead of Apologizing

After cooking dinner for her children, husband, and mother-in-law, a woman left her portion of food for herself while she completed a chore. When she returned to eat, the food she kept had disappeared.

She took to Reddit to find out if she was being unreasonable in her reaction to her mother-in-law’s actions. The woman explained that her family would eat in the lounge, leaving her to dish out everyone’s portion and serve it to them. She had no issues plating everyone’s meal and taking it to them. However, after serving Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and homemade bread, she returned to find her food missing.

Her mother-in-law confessed she had taken it. Although the woman was shocked, she initially thought her mother-in-law was very hungry. But when her mother-in-law asked for a container to take leftovers home, the woman was annoyed. Her husband supported her and asked his mom to apologize, but instead, the mother-in-law accused her of being a bad hostess.
