70s Rock Legend Fighting for His Life After Cardiac Arrest

Rock and roll legend Dave Edmunds, 81, is in intensive care after a severe cardiac arrest at his home in Monmouthshire, Wales. Known for the 1970 hit “I Hear You Knocking,” Edmunds was revived by emergency responders after briefly dying in his wife Cici’s arms.

Though now in critical but stable condition, he suffered brain damage and memory loss, making recovery uncertain. Cici called his survival a “miracle” and thanked fans for their support, asking for continued prayers.

Edmunds, celebrated for his work with Rockpile and Nick Lowe, has had a major impact on British rock. His legacy remains strong as the music world rallies around him.
